Heating & Serving Instructions

For your health and safety, please make sure that you are always thawing and heating your meals correctly before consuming.

If cooking from thawed place your frozen item into the refrigerator to thaw. Thawing on the kitchen bench or in the sun is not recommended.

When heating your item ensure that you re-heat correctly.  The recommended temperature is 65 degrees Celsius.  If you do not have a thermometer, just make sure the item is steaming and very hot to the touch.

Individual Meals

Crack the lid and pop into the microwave for 2 - 3 minutes (if thawed) or 6 - 8 minutes (if frozen). Heat for an additional 30 seconds, if needed. If you let your meal sit for a further minute or two the heat will continue through the dish.

Medium & Large Meals

If reheating your meals in the microwave you will need to remove your items from the foil trays before placing into the microwave.  Heat in microwave for 8-15 mins depending on the size of meal.

If reheating in the oven. Remove plastic lid and cover your meal with foil. Bake in oven at 160°C for 20-30 mins or until heated through.

Oven trays

Remove plastic lid from foil tray before heating in the oven and cover in foil. You will find your cooking instructions for each oven tray on the lid.

How to Enjoy your pouches!

Curry Sauces

Serve your favourite rice with your curry. Nann, flat breads, papadums and any Asian condiment will elevate your home cooked meal to the next level! If you are short on time microwavable rice packets are great!

Pasta Sauces

Cook up your favourite dried or fresh pasta varieties to toss through your heated pasta sauce. I find small & short pasta types the best for serving and bulking out the dish. Penne, spirals, Elbow etc. These small pasta types hold a lot more sauce than a spaghetti or fettuccini could, plus they are easier to cook!

Don’t let society tell you that parmesan is the only cheese you can have on your pasta. Top your home cooked pasta dish with whatever cheese you and the family love. Don’t forget the garlic bread!!

Casseroles

Your heated casseroles can be served with endless possibilities. Remember that casseroles are the hearty family filling dishes that we all grew up on. Serve with mashed potatoes, creamy polenta, pastas, rice, etc. Steam, fry or grill up some vegetables to stretch your home cooked casserole even further. Who’s to say there is something wrong with just enjoying your casserole on a slab of hot buttered toast!

Slow Cooked Meats

Just like your casseroles you can serve your slow cooked meat pouches with whatever you have. The pulled meats that lend themselves to American BBQ style they are great for burgers, tacos, nachos.
